I understand your comments, and I appreciate them, but please note that it
was not specified as a Childfree Event. Though it was eventually posted to
ChildFree, it read as if it could have been preplanned as either, and then
ChildFree happened to then be invited along in this case. In fact, I was
thinking that other non childfree might or might not be there. If I
misinterpreted anything, I am sorry, but I do not believe that I "breached"
any rules. This is why he has not been with me to any other events since
Halloween, nor have I invited him to any future events, such as Eagles
Hockey Night or Burns Night. See quote below from Keith's original email:

"5 of us are going to the Open Stage production Splitting Infinity
(http://www.openstage.com/productions/piece.php?pieceId=116) on Friday, Jan
19th. We will meet for dinner before the show. Anyone interested in
joining us, should get tickets and email me for the dinner plans."

By the way, he said he had a wonderful time and enjoyed meeting everyone.

Chalyn

Hi. I didn't say anything last night because I didn't want to embarrass
you in front of everyone. If I remember correctly, your boyfriend
(Curtis, Kurtis? I don't know how he spells his name) has kids.

We are a childfree social group. Meaning no parents, no stepparents.
While I'm happy you found someone you like to be with, he is a parent
and therefore NOT welcome to childfree events. In case there is some
confusion, a childfree event is anything posted on the wiki or on the
childfree mailing list that does not SPECIFICALLY state everyone is
welcome. So far the only event I have seen listed this way is Keith's
Halloween party.

I am not trying to be mean, single you out, or pick on you. I'm just
trying to make it clear that we are a childfree group for a reason - we
want events where we don't have to socialize with parents. If you choose
to date a parent, that' s great, but he cannot participate in our events.

Ann
