Subject: Travel Pictures (Dubai and Ethiopia)

I've uploaded (a subset) of the pictures I took in Dubai and on the Ethioipa Historic Northern Loop.

The trip was fantastic.  I went through Dubai <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubai> to meet up with Brian and he did a two-day walking tour of the city for me (lots of photos of skyscrapers and the 'boom town<http://www.architecturelist.com/2008/03/05/351/>'), also on the end of the trip, I had a layover in Dubai and Brian took me to the AlAin Air Show.

The historic loop of Ethiopia was fascinating.  We saw Obelisks and Ruins from the Axumite Empire<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Aksum> (~200BC-400AD), Rock Hewn Churches in Lalibela<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lalibela> (12-13th century), the ruling castles in Gondar<http://http:/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gondar> (17th century).  In addition, we spent several days hiking the Semien Mountains<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simien_Mountains> (the Rooftop of Africa) and even saw the Wallia Ibex<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walia_Ibex>.
