<div dir="ltr">I've emailed "the guy" at the city as to why the hardness nearly doubles from raw to treated water. There may be something wrong about the report, although it's very similar to the one I got for '06 last year. At any rate, that 41ppm number or whatever (average of the six sites) is CaCO<span>©ý, </span>only some of which is calcium. (Would that be 1/5 as calcium? I've seen 4/5 total hardness as an estimate of calcium, but that doesn't make sense.)<br>
Who knows lots about water and can make sense of this?<br>Please don't say we have to contact The Joe.

<div dir="ltr">As Steve mention the only discrepancy I see is with calcium, which is about three times as high as the beersmith file. It's very easy to adjust to suit; if anyone needs help let me know.<br>The report is just what happened to be flowing on those days at those sites, so don't take it as the science of what is actually coming out of your tap.<br>
I've attached the '07 report, and if you go to the bottom it gives the address of each sample site. You may find one closer to you than the others. E.g., there's two-thirds more sodium in the reading on the east side than that on the west side.<br>
Thanks again, Andy. I'm sure there are a number of members interested in doctoring their water. We're blessed with a pretty flexible supply here.<br><br>
