The Colorado Brewers Festival is being held this up coming weekend and we're planning on having a tent to promote the homebrewing community in the area. For those of you that live in a hole: the format has changed a bit this year to have 3 tasting sessions, 2 on saturday and on sunday, and people can sample 4oz pours during these 3 hour sessions.<div>
<br></div><div>So I need people to help with the booth on both days. We're going to have books, handouts, and gear to show what's involved with brewing, and we were also thinking we could have a couple of people bring their systems and brew batches there.</div>
<div><br></div><div>As far as brewing goes, it's certainly a lot easier to do extract or partial mashes in that environment. It might be interesting to have all grain running though since we'll probably have multiple batches running simultaneously. There will be access to water and power, and we'll be able to share some of the equipment (pumps, chillers, etc) to keep things a little simpler. Some of the details will depend on who is actually brewing.</div>
<div><br></div><div>In addition there is a brewer's dinner at Odell the friday evening that I have enough tickets for volunteers to go to. If you would just like to go to the dinner, we can get tickets for $12 a head. The number is limited, so depending on how many people are interested we might need to do a lottery or something.</div>
<div><br></div><div>So here's what I need to know:</div><div><br></div><div>* Who is interested in helping out and when you can do it</div><div>* If you would like to brew there</div><div>* Who wants to go to the brewers dinner, whether you're volunteering or not</div>
<div><br></div><div>If you volunteer you will get:</div><div><br></div><div>* Free entry for the day you are volunteering</div><div>* A ticket to the brewer's diner on friday</div><div>* For those brewing, Hops and Berries has offered to donate the ingredients for those batches since we'll be pimping the shop a bit as well.</div>
<div><br></div><div>thanks,</div><div><br></div><div>matt</div>
