All,<div><br></div><div>I think it is time that an event was had for Learn to Homebrew Day (<b>November 5th</b>). Many of you are already versed in brewing beer, now's the time to learn how to make a batch or two of mead.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I should be able to have plenty of honey on hand (pay for what you use) and some yeasts and nutrients. You'll just want a carboy (or fermenting vessel). I'm going to focus on traditional meads (just honey, water, yeast, and nutrient). </div>
<div><br></div><div>I plan on going over some of the history, different techniques, fermentation management, and we'll have to do some tastings.</div><div><br></div><div>Location will be dependent on how many people are interested in participating. I'll send out more details as we get closer.</div>
<div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Related... It is time for another <b>honey buy</b>.</div><div><br></div><div>I'm getting California Orange Blossom honey @ $2.05/lb and California Buckwheat honey @ $2/lb. I'm looking at getting it in the middle of October and packaging in 42lb buckets. If you're interested, send me an email.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Thanks,</div><div>Kyle</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>
