The drop off deadline is Friday May 25 so we need a few people who can drive to the drop off locations and collect the entries on Saturday May 26. Ideally, we will be getting to each location when they open for the day (usually around 10am). Anyone who can help out will have their mileage reimbursed at the current government rate of $.555 per mile and the club will provide some funds for lunch. Hopefully you will also have the ability to keep beer that you collect cold until the following day when we will be sorting the entries. If that is not possible, you can always bring the entries to my house and I will either store them of find someone who can.

People already signed up to drive: Matt Smith

Number of additional people needed: 4-6

May 27: Sorting

Once beers have been collected, we will be gathering a group of people at Odell Brewing Company on Sunday May 27 to sort the entries, create the tables for judging, etc. Sorting will start at 10:00am and the club will provide lunch for all who can assist. We should be done by 5:00pm, so it will be an all-day event.

People already signed up: Matthew Burton, Matt Kunze, Alison Rosso, Matt Smith, Lavelle McGovney

Number of additional people needed: 2-4

June 3: Comp Day

This is the big one. We need EVERYONE! Well, as many as we can get, to help judge and steward on the competition day. You do not need to be BJCP certified to judge. The best way to sign up for judging or stewarding is to log on to http://comp.liquidpoets.com/slam/ and go through the process of registering as a participant. During the registration process, you have the ability to specify that you would like to Judge or Steward. This is also where you would enter beers for the comp as well.

If you have any questions about pickups, sorting, judging, or stewarding please let me know.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming…

Cheers,

Alex
