Poets,<div><br></div><div>If anyone is interested in the follow on brew day for fruit beers, I will be brewing my cherry wit at my house this Sunday at 2pm. I can support about 8 people. If you would like to swing by and watch me brew on my single tier keggle system or just swing by to drink some homebrew then you are more than welcome, just shoot me an email and I will send you my address.</div>

<p class="MsoNormal">1) Andy Mitchell will be giving a talk/presentation on water chemistry in brewing. This should be a real treat and we will start the meeting off with this talk.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">2) <span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#222222">We will be doing tasting panel. If you have any beers (or meads and ciders) that you want specific feedback on please bring them. This is an opportunity
to get very direct comments on beer attributes and style for your good or bad beers. Also, if you have beer that you know has a specific "problem" - bring it! This is a great educational opportunity to train other people on beer attributes and taints.</span></p>

3) Fruitbeer <b> </b> (BJCP: 20a) is the August style of the month. If you have a fruit beer, please bring it for the table. There will be commercial examples for calibration and tasting and then we will get into the homebrews. These discussions will be
lead by BJCP judges and is a great opportunity to really dissect the diversity and qualification for certain beer styles. For brewers who are interested in learning how competition beer judging works - this is the table to be seated at!

4) AHA club only competition is Porter BJCP Category 12. We will be juding these beers at the meeting. If you have a Brown, Robust, or Baltic Porter and would like to represent the club, bring it to the meeting. Only need one bottle for judging at the meeting.
The club will pay entry fees and shipping costs for the winning porter. (See <a href="http://BJCP.org" target="_blank">
BJCP.org</a> for more info on the different Porter styles.)<br>

5) Mike and Ashley Barnhart will be hosting on Sunday, August 5th. They can host up to 8 people. We'll have more information about directions and times at the meeting.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">6) Doc has announced his next Iron Brewer Challenge - <b><u>Chile Pale Ale</u></b>. Chile can be interpreted however you like, but the base style is an American Pale Ale. We should be judging this beer on Sept. 6th so get them brewed.<br>
