<div dir="ltr">Hello, Poets!<div><br></div><div>I'm Chris Kregoski. As you may know, this year my wife Janna and I are hosting Big Brew at our house at 701 Frontier Ct in Fort Collins. Here's some information regarding Saturday's plan:</div>
<div><br></div><div><div>- Location: We're about halfway between Shields and College (closer to Shields) and about halfway between Drake and Horsetooth. Our house is at the end of Frontier Court, slightly to the right, with the two big pine trees in front. Map: <a href="http://tinyurl.com/kjg993m">http://tinyurl.com/kjg993m</a> . Big Brew is happening in our back yard (we'll have signs).</div>
</div><div><br></div><div>- Big Brew officially starts at 9 AM on Saturday, May 3rd. If you have any equipment related to the event, or any larger brew systems you'd like to have running by 9, or if you'd like to bike the day of and not worry about parking (and driving afterwards), feel free to send me an email at this address (<a href="mailto:chris@etrmedia.com">chris@etrmedia.com</a>) if you'd like to drop it off the night before or arrive earlier (8 AM).</div>
<div><br></div><div>- Parking: We live on a cul-de-sac that's off of another cul-de-sac, so parking isn't optimal. Obviously, parking in my neighbors' driveways is not an option, but there's limited street parking available on Frontier Court, and plenty available on Swallow Road. If you can carpool or bike over, even better. My driveway is available for equipment unloading and handicap parking.</div>
<div><br></div><div>- Spent Grain: We'll have a number of barrels designated for spent grain. Please make sure any you don't want to take with you ends up there (otherwise, my dogs eat it and get gassy).</div><div>
<br></div><div>- Chill Water: We'll set up a chilling station so we can keep chill water from flooding the back yard (last time we hosted Big Brew we created a fairly impressive mud pit that I'd like to avoid).</div>
<div><br></div><div>- Extra Equipment: Bringing extra hoses, splitters, lighters, camp chairs, sunblock, Star-San, etc. is always a good idea. Also, if you're running a propane burner that's low to the ground, consider bringing a piece of plywood to protect my (admittedly already crummy) grass.</div>
<div><br></div><div>- Electric Brewing: We'll be running our e-brew system a number of times on Saturday, as well as using it as an HLT for a few hours during the day. We have two 4-prong 50 Amp 240V circuits for electric brewing. One will be dedicated to our system during most of the day, and the other one will be available on request (please let me know in advance if you'd like to bring yours. We have two people already on the schedule already).</div>
<div><br></div><div><div>- Facilities: We will have two port-a-potties at the front of the house. Additionally, there's an indoor restroom available for anyone with children or special needs.</div><div><br></div><div>
- Pets: Most of you will be brewing with propane, so bringing pets is a no-no (service animals excluded, obviously). If you think our dogs should meet your dogs, we can arrange that at a later date and drink some beer in our backyard then.</div>
</div><div><br></div><div>- Food: Liquid Poets will be providing main grillables (burgers, hot dogs, vegan option, etc), but the rest is potluck-style, so bring some good snacks!</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>We're looking forward to having everyone over on Saturday! The forecast calls for a high of 73F, with little-to-no cloud cover, so bring that sunscreen!</div>
<div><br></div><div>LET'S MAKE SOME BEER!</div><div><br></div><div>Chris Kregoski</div></div>
