Poets!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Sorry for the late notice! Our November meeting will be held this Thursday, November 3rd at the CB & Potts Taproom from 7-9pm. Yes, that CB & Potts.... the one on West Elizabeth where we have been meeting. Yes, they are still open over there and they are still making very tasty beers!<br></p>

Poetry Slam Beer Roulette:</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Since we just held the first Fall Edition of the Liquid Poetry Slam, we have A LOT of beer leftover from 2nd and 3rd bottles that were not opened during the competition. These beers will be out and available for sampling and taking home with you. We call it Beer Roulette because you don't know much about it other than the Style Number. Sample some.... take some home... will they be hidden gems that you love or will they be not so great? One way to find out!<br></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>2017
Elections for Board of Directors:</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Elections
for the 2017 Board of Directors will be held during the month of November, with
final voting and results being announced at the December meeting. In the
next week we will be sending out information related to all current
Board positions so that everyone is aware of the roles and responsibilities for
each. Hopefully this will be informative for you and you will see that serving
on the Board is not a gigantic, scary commitment. We are only successful
as a club due to the work and leadership of our members, and particularly the
Board each year. Please keep an eye out for this information and consider
running for a Board position for 2017!</p>

Festivus Party & Food Bank Silent Auction:</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">We
will once again be gathering to celebrate another great year of home brewing
and holding a silent auction to benefit the Larimer County Food Bank.
Please mark your calendars for an evening of celebration and fund raising for
our community on the evening of <b>Saturday December 10th!</b> The date has changed from our last email due to the best possible time for our hosts. We will once again be fortunate enough to have the great folks at <b>Horse & Dragon</b> host us for our party. As usual the club will provide the main course
protein as well as a vegetarian option and we will potluck the rest of the meal
with tasty contributions of those attending. I sent out a specific email about the party and silent auction last week and I'll make sure to follow up again in the coming weeks.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Tasting
Panel:</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Since
we seem to always have a lot going on at meetings, and those wanting feedback
on beers may not always remember to bring 2 bottles, we are going to try
something new with the tasting panel over the next couple of months. We
are going to ask those who are BJCP certified judges if they would be willing
to give one-on-one feedback to other members who are seeking it. Those
BJCP members who are willing will have a special name tag denoting that they
are willing to take a minute or two and review your beer with you. If you
are BJCP certified, and you are willing to help out other club members at our
meetings, please let one of the Board Members know and we will get you setup
with the special name tag.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Beer
Social:</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">As
usual, we will gather around the beer table for the first 15-20 minutes of the
meeting and greet new and old friends alike. Bring something you have made
recently, something you have had aging for a while, or anything in
between. Let's sample some great home brew!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Style
of the Month:</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Overall
the goal this year will be to have a couple of commercial examples and a number
of home brewed examples at each meeting. The focus of the table will be
to examine the examples based on the BJCP Guidelines and see how will they
compare. Hopefully this will be in informative table where members can
get down and dirty with the details of the chosen style.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">November’s
Style of the month is Autumn (30B) and Winter Seasonal (30C) so bring your best examples of these to share! Below
is the full list for Style of the Month. If you are interested in leading
one of these tables, please let me know and I'll get you penciled in.</p>
