<div dir="ltr"><div><div>I tried sending this message last week and it didn't appear to go through. Trying again... <br></div><div><br>Greeting fellow poets,<br><br></div>Hope all is well with
everyone and that your to-brew list has lots of interesting beers
lined-up for this year! I would like to take this opportunity to remind
everyone about our next<b> Iron Brewer Challenge, which will be judged at the May meeting</b>. The theme for this next one will be<b> "Hopped-up Lagers and Hybrids"</b>. I decided to throw in some of the "hybrid" styles in case there are some that don't want
to brew a lager or don't have the temp control for it. For the hybrids, I would like to suggest any of these styles as a base: <b>Kolsch, Alt, Cream Ale, and California Common</b> ("Steam" Beer). So the goal here is to
brew <b>any lager/hybrid style and kick it up a notch on the hops</b>
to make the brew more on the hoppy side. That doesn't mean it has to be
IPA hoppy (although it can be), but just on the hoppy end of the
spectrum. You could also create your own "style" if you choose (I.E.
India Pale Lager, experimental, etc.). Let me know if you have any
questions but I hope everyone will consider brewing something cool and
unique for this challenge! <br><br></div>Also, I am sending out the <a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WxT5PlqPzyPFA9bSF9-EnouV78XIYSXS3_88_Hf7mKM/edit?usp=sharing"><b>updated yeast list</b></a>
for our collection. There have been a few new additions and a few
deletions (some that I felt weren't all that worthwhile to keep around).
<b>Slants will continue to be $5/each</b>. If you would like to order,
please give me a week or so heads-up and ideally I can have orders ready
for the meetings. Let me know if anyone has questions, etc. Cheers,
-RemiĀ <br></div>
