<div dir="ltr">Hi everyone,<div><br></div><div>Today in my home, it's homemade pies and rolls. Tomorrow, sides and the main event. We always get a honey ham because no one at my house likes turkey, but that's us. </div><div><br></div><div>I'm taking a little time this morning to reach out again about volunteering for the club's board. This club is run by us, its members, and only by us. I invite everyone, from newbies to club founders to put themselves forward and join the board. No position is bigger than a part time commitment and we welcome and need fresh ideas on our club and events.</div><div><br></div><div>Again the board offices:</div><div><ol><li><b>President</b> - representation and delegation</li><li><b>Vice President</b> - backup for prez; track club equipment</li><li><b>Treasurer / Secretary</b> - write checks; track finances</li><li><b>Event Coordinator</b> - secure venues and plan for club meetings and events</li><li><b>Comp. Coordinator</b> - plan and oversee our annual competition</li><li><b>Board at Large</b> - advise board; be an extra pair of hands </li></ol>I really appreciate the growing list of folks who have nominated themselves. This is a good sign and makes me feel warm and fuzzy. </div><div><br></div><div>And a reminder, please check your <a href="http://liquidpoets.com">liquidpoets.com</a> account (wordpress). Some of you have logins that don't correspond to your (actual) names AND don't have your names filled in in your profile. If you've volunteered for a position, please make sure we can tell who you are.</div><div><br></div><div>If you haven't volunteered yet, please consider it. Your club still needs both positions filled and your ideas on what our agenda should be for 2018.</div><div><br></div><div>Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I'm looking forward to working with you next year, keeping our club vibrant and active. (That is, given that I actually get elected to an office.)</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers!</div></div><div dir="ltr">-- <br></div><div class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr">Jason L Connor<div>Events Coordinator</div><div>Liquid Poets</div><div><a href="http://www.liquidpoets.com">http://www.liquidpoets.com</a></div></div></div>
