Well, I waited a few days to see if anyone else would respond to this.
So here's my 2cents.

I think we need to stick to our basic charter on this issue. On the
website it clearly states that we a group of people who do not desire
to have children. I don't think the age of the children matter. All
the same reasons that people choose not to associate with non-childfree
people, apply to children of any age. People with adult aged children
may have grandchildren. Also, even without grandkids, activities and
conversations may not be what everyone wants to deal with. I was
recently on a trip with a parent of a 20 something and even at that
age, every conservation he turned the talk to his daughter (her
husband, the new house, her college grades, her first prom, why she
doesn't like to travel, the lack of good women's stores in Farmington,
NM, etc, etc,.....) While, I believe that we all know "really good"
people who are mellow in their 'parentness', I think that "now
child-free" doesn't fit our child free group.

So, for events posted to the list I think the default assumption is
that it is for child free people only. If you want to hold an event
where others are invited (and you definately can), then it must be
clearly posted that both childfree and non-childfree people are invited
(I do this for my Halloween Party). This will allow people to clearly
make their decision on attending or not.

Comments? Counterpoints?

If a cute saying or a pretty poster are all it takes to motivate you, you probably have a very easy job. The kind robots will be doing soon.
