It's time for the 3rd annual Child Free Burns Night Supper.  This is a
chance to enjoy Scottish culture and cuisine and to mingle with the
members of our group.

For those who don't know Robert Burns is the Poet Laurate of
Scotland and the Burns Suppers have been part of Scottish culture for
about 200 years as a means of commemorating our best loved bard. And
when Burns immortalised haggis in verse he created a central link that
is maintained to this day.

The ritual was started by close friends of Burns a few years after his
death in 1796 as a tribute to his memory. The basic format for the
evening has remained unchanged since that time and begins when the
chairman invites the company to receive the haggis...

The supper will include a compleat Bill o' Fair (so there will be food
other than Haggis :). Guests should be prepared to enjoy good food,
conversation, Scotch Whiskey, listening to and reading Scottish Poetry.
I'll reserve a special dram of Single Malt Whiskey for anyone that
brings their Pipes (and can play them, though the ability to play pipes
is a subjective measure), or comes in a Kilt.
