Subject: [Childfree] Movie Night (8/20)

Movie Night this Wednesday, 8/20.
Okay, still no good choices at the Multi-plex theaters.

However, again, Lyric has a couple of good options.

Turaqistan is a country occupied by an American private corporation run
by the former US Vice President. In an effort to monopolize the
opportunities the war-torn nation offers, the corporation's CEO hires
Hauser to kill a Middle Eastern oil minister. Now, struggling with his
own growing demons, the assassin must pose as the corporation's Trade
Show Producer in order to pull off this latest hit, while maintaining
his cover by organizing the high-profile wedding of Yonica Babyyeah, an
outrageous Central Asian pop star and keeping a sexy left-wing reporter
in check.

Let's plan on seeing War,Inc (how can a political satire movie with Ben
Kingsley, Hillary Duff and John Cusack and Marisa Tomei be bad?)

Show time is 9:30, so we have a late start on this one. Meet before the
show on patio.

For those interested in documentaries (and mockumentaries) Encounters at
the End of the World is showing earlier at 7:30 (good double feature
option for some).

Filmmaker Werner Herzog travels to the Antarctic community of McMurdo
Station, on Ross Island, the headquarters for the National Science
Foundation and home to eleven hundred people during the austral summer.
McMurdo is a gathering place for people who want to step off the map and
where everyone seem to be full-time travelers and part-time workers.
Beyond the settlement, Herzog ventures from the under-ice depths of the
Ross Sea to the brink of the Mount Erebus volcano. Over the course of
his journey, nature in the wild shares equal time with human nature and
he encounters many a colorful character along the way.

I can only commit to the 9:30 (with a maybe on the 7:30 show).

See you Wednesday!

If a cute saying or a pretty poster are all it takes to motivate you,
you probably have a very easy job. The kind robots will be doing soon.
