For those who wanted to know: This is not the Dicken's Christmas Carol you might be thinking of (there is no Tiny Tim, Crachet or God Bless Us Everyone in here)

Charles Dickens did an excellent job of making us worry about Ebenezer Scrooge's redemption in A Christmas Carol, but why is it we never worry about the ghostly Jacob Marley? We rarely, if ever, give a thought to Marley's motive in returning from the grave to redeem his penury partner.
At last Marley's story is told in Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol. Playwright Tom Mula has crafted a behind-the-scenes look at Marley's efforts to save old Scrooge's soul and, in the process, his own. With just four actors and minimal staging, Marley travels from the Jaws of Death to the Mouth of Hell and beyond.
"Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol is very much Dickens but from the perspective of Marley's ghost," said Denise Freestone, who is directing Marley. "The play is an incredible blend between dynamic storytelling and a fully dramatic performance. Both humorous and emotionally powerful, it creates a compelling and magical story of salvation and redemption through the eyes of Jacob Marley."
OpenStage Theatre first presented Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol in 2009. Audience response to the unique piece was so overwhelming, that the show is being reprised this holiday season. The production features the original cast of veteran OpenStage actors Brian Hughes, Ken Benda, Will Ferrie and Jake Offen.
Jacob Marley Christmas Carol garnered several OpenStage OPUS awards last season. The OPUS Awards are voted on annually by OpenStage donors, season ticket holders and artists. Brian Hughes won Best Actor for his performance as Jacob Marley, Jake Offen won Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of six uniquely different roles in the show and Emelie Borello won Best Sound Design. The show also won the OPUS Award for Best Ensemble Cast.
