small group of us (Chris, Heather, Keith, Ann and Erick) just picked up tickets
for the Sept 7th performance of Arabian Nights at the Open Stage. Everyone
is welcome to join us, plenty of tickets are still available. Show time is
at 8pm and tickets (<A href="http://www.openstage.com">www.openstage.com</A>)
are $10. Friday the 7th is FAB night, meaning a free beer at intermission
;-). This looks to be a very interesting production, as they are staging
this 'in the round'.<BR><BR>Tony Award winning playwright Mary Zimmerman's
acclaimed adaptation weaves ancient tales of wonder into a rich and poetic
testament to the transformational power of storytelling. King Shahryar marries,
loves, and then kills a young woman each night - until he encounters
Scheherezade. For one thousand and one nights, he delays her murder as he
eagerly awaits her next tale of love, lust, hilarity, or sorrow. A passionate
tribute to the land that produced the encyclopedia of human experience,
imagination, and poetry that is The Arabian Nights.<BR>FAB Friday is sponsored
in part by Boulder Beer. It features a $10.00 ticket price, and a free beer at
intermission for all audience members of legal drinking age.<BR>
