Alright ladies and gents, three more days to the February meeting at
New Belgium. I've gotten a lot of responses from folks who plan to
attend, so it should be a good turnout.
Please bring your '06 dues. Normally we'll do $20 Jan-June after which
it's $10. But since we're off to a late start it's prorated to $16.50.
We need to bring snacks, but rather than trying to organize it, we'll
just go potluck. No need to go crazy, just something to keep your
belly settled whilst imbibing delicious homebrew. Chips, crackers,
nuts, I'm thinking, but is someone wants to bring a lasagna, it'll get
eaten!

Things to think about before the meeting:
First on my personal list is roping in some admin support, so everyone
consider what you can give to the club, time/talent-wise and be
prepared to volunteer. Even better would be to drop me a note before
hand if you're inclined. We need most of all someone to back me up in
general, help organize the meetings, oversee membership, etc. You
don't have to be the best brewer (myself, case in point) just willing
to devote a fair amount of time to building the club.
A treasurer is another biggie. We'll have a checking acct with all the
dues, and out of which expenses will be paid, so someone willing to
carry the checkbook around and make monthy dues deposits will come in
handy. -Don't have to be particularly trustworthy, since there'll be
lots of oversight and the swift retribution from the club enforcer,
which brings me to the next position. Anyone here weigh over 250#,
preferably tattooed and ill-tempered? [kidding.] If you are
financially inclined, or at least can do basic math and drive a car
and would like to help, pipe up.
There's more, but it can all evolve as we go.
We've got Ted doing a great job with our group tours, which will
hopefully evolve into full-fledged events co-ordinating - field trips,
homebrew comps, summer BBQ?
And Colin will continue being our commercial liaison, with his
connections at most every brewery in the NoCO area.
At the end of the year we'll vote for all the positions (hopefully
including mine, so I can relax!) but to get things going we'll need to
catch as catch can, and I think volunteers in this crowd will more
than suffice.

Anyone has any thoughts on any of this or anything else, drop me an
email and I'll get back asap.
Thanks, and happy brewing!
Taylor
