Chuck brings up a good point; sorry I wasn't more clear.
To restate:
Dues from the time you join through December will be $20, until July
after which point we will ask for $10 from new members for the second
half of the year. (I.e., though we aren't prorating monthly, we charge
half-dues for half a year.) Hope that's clearer.
Just to make it muddier, THIS year, since we're off to a late start,
we ARE prorating for the last 11/12ths of the year, but just to make
sure no one could understand me, I threw in a typo!
So, hopefully my methodology will counter my lack of typing skills,
and everyone can understand where I get $18.50 from. (NOT $16.50 -
zheesh, glad I'm not the treasurer!)
My apologies for making somethign so confusing.

And Blaine asks specifics on what to bring. There's no real specifics,
just bring what you can and we'll have a great time. Snackwise, it
seems easy to bring too much, so we'll just have to feel it out as we
go.
I will say that I've seen homebrew clubs turn in to beer appreciation
clubs which - though not a bad thing - is something I'm not interested
in. So assuming we're all active brewers, bring something to share,
good or bad. I've gotten some really great help on bad beer from
bringing it to the club, so don't be shy; we ALL make bad beer now and
again. "If you aren't throwing some away, you aren't daring enough!"

Hey Taylor,

I had a few questions and comments about the club.  First - about the
dues.  On the website is says $20 per year or $15 for AHA members.  In
your email it says $20 Jan - June.  Is it $40 per year?  Are you still
offering the discout for AHA members?
