Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know about some upcoming brewclub events.
Our next meeting is this coming Thursday at Ft. Collins Brewing at 7pm.
I will be presenting material on mead making and you'll be sharing your
beer, mead, etc. with each other;-). Originally, my friend John Maday
was going to present, but he had a work commitment come up.

Then, all day next Sunday, August 6, I will be hosting a mead brew day
at my house in honor of National Mead Day. I hope many of you will join
me in brewing some mead, similar to the big brew at Colin's. I'd like
to see if we can hit 50 gallons. John will be able to make this event,
so any questions I couldn't answer (or you didn't like my answer;-), you
can ask him. We will have a grill available; if you want to eat, please
bring something for the grill and something to share. It would be nice,
if you have some mead, to bring it. I know a number of people are
interested in sharing theirs. We'll be starting around 9 am and running
all day.

I'll have my wort (er, "must") chiller and my equipment will be
available for someone else to use after I do my batch. I've asked Colin
if we can borrow his water filter. Anything else we need or other good
ideas? As an incentive, I'll be opening another bottle of my raspberry
melomel and I've invited the local beekeeper's association to both the
club meeting and the mead brew.

See you soon and get your yeast starter going!

Jester

All in all, I think this is a great opportunity for beekeepers and
homebrewers to meet each other and find out what we have in common and
what we can share. I hope many of you can make it.

Regards,
Jason Goldman
