Reminder: 15th Annual Eight Seconds of Froth--9 May 2009:
The High Plains Drafters of Cheyenne Wyoming is hosting their 15th Annual
Eight Seconds of Froth on Saturday, May 9th. This is a BJCP sanctioned
competition for all beer and mead/cider categories.
Entries can now be dropped off at several locations throughout the upper
front range.
(I'll also be in Longmont all day tomorrow at the 1st Round NHC regional
judging if anyone wants to drop off their entries to me then).
We're also still need lots of judges and stewards--email me directly to
sign up.
This year's competition will be held at the Historic Plains Hotel in
downtown Cheyenne WY and will be the site for both the judging and the awards
ceremony. The BOS beer or possibly one of the other category winning beers will
be selected by brewmaster Nathan Vener of the Altitude Chophouse and
Brewery in Laramie WY to be brewed and entered in this year's 2009 GABF Pro-Am
competition.

throughout the Rocky Mountain front range. Details are also provided for a terrific
room rate at the Plains Hotel of $69 for judges/stewards who might desire to
stay overnight.
This is the fifth year of our Ace of Clubs competition within a
competition. The winning club receives a traveling trophy they get to hold on to for
the year. (Points awarded for entries, judges/stewards and201st, 2nd, 3rd
places & BOS beer & BOS mead.) Cary & Kelley/KROC--please return the trophy
ASAP!
IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING THIS YEAR'S COMPETITION:
Entries are due NLT 12 noon on Saturday, 2 May. Don't forget that this is
also the date of AHA's Big Brew Day and most Front Range clubs are
scheduling events that afternoon.
THIS YEAR OUR DROP OF DATES PARTIALLY OVERLAP WITH THE 2009 LEFT HAND
SESSION ALE PRO-AM COMPETITION'S DROP OFF DATES FOR THEIR COMPETION ON 16
MAY--PLEASE BE CERTAIN THAT YOUR ENTRY FORMS CLEARLY IDENTIFY WHICH COMPETITION(s)
YOU ARE ENTERING. IF YOU ARE ENTERING BOTH COMPETITIONS, PLEASE SEPARATE
AND CONSOLIDATE YOUR ENTRIES BY EACH COMPETITION.
