Happy New Year everyone!
What an awesome first year. I'm sure everyone is looking forward to the next
year of homebrew evolution. We've got some awesome things planned, and I'm
confident Remi will pull us through to the next level. The homebrew comp,
AHA conference, maybe Oktoberfest?
At any rate it couldn't happen without you the members.
There's going to be a few changes on the website. For one you'll have to
register to post or reply on the forums. I staved it off as long as I could,
but it looks like the spam engines have caught up with us. Visitors can
still view the forums though.
Also, for the actual LP members there'll be a section for bios, that link
from the member list. Only the club members will see it (meaning not the
registered users who are not in the club.) Same for a new recipe database
and club store.
Soooo, that brings me to the next topic in no particular order: dues!
There's only about twelve members in the club as of Jan 1st, so if you
intend on continuing participation in the coolest, fastest-growing homebrew
club in the solar system, please bring a check to the meeting next Tuesday,
or go to the site and pay via paypal.
[Checking acct only! Checking acct only! Checking acct only! Checking acct
only! Checking acct only! Checking acct only!]
We'll wait till late Jan to get everyone on board. I'll try to keep the paid
members group up to date, but feel free to nudge me if you notice you can't
see the club store for instance after you've paid.
The point isn't particularly to exclude anyone of course, just another
little something special for the members - without whom the website wouldn't
be in the first place.
I hope the year has treated you all well, and here's to another good one
around the bend!
See you at CB&Potts next Tues!
Cheers!
Taylor
PS, we now own liquidpoets at gmail.com (thanks Matt!) so make sure it isn't
