[Liquidpoets] Maifest!!!

Hey, everyone. Spring is coming, and for us Deutchophiles that means
Maifest! There's a lot going on in May, with Big brew, then bottle
sorting and Mother's Day the next week, then the comp, but on that
fourth weekend, most of Northern Colorado will be twiddling its
thumbs. But not me, and NOT YOU! Get ready for Ft C's first annual
Bavarian Maifest.
So far, Steve J has commited to 5g of Maibock, Matt K to 5g of Helles,
Yours Truly to 5g of Rauchbier, and Colin W will "proibably" make a
Roggenbier - and if he doesn't I will!
We have a couple volunteers to make some Bavarian-style eats, but we
need more help if you have time and ability - where did Grandma leave
that recipe for bacon potato salad? It's an unofficial club-event, so
we won't be using any club funds. What that means is either I have to
find a wallet with $200 in it, or we need $5 a head from the
"Säuferdamen und -herren" to offset (cover?) the cost of grain, hops,
pretzels, etc.
Each paid member is allowed one non-club guest, and members' kids get in free.
What I need at the moment is a rough idea of how many people plan to
come, so if you can take a second and look at your calendar, reply to
this if it seems "likely" that you'll come. We're almost two months
out, but if 60 people plan on coming, we're going to need more beer!
(And good Bavarian beer takes time, you know!)
Also, if you'd like to help or even just have ideas (how do you
actually raise a maypole?) let me know early!
This'll be fun.
