Subject: [Liquidpoets] December 2009 Meeting
Hi All,
The next Liquid Poets meeting is this week Thursday, December 3rd at CB &
Potts Big Horn Brewery at 7:0pm.
Bring some home brew (beer, mead, wine, cider, etc) or some craft brew to
share. This month we will have the final voting for the 2010 Board of
Directors. If you have not yet voted you can do so by replying to the
Ballot email I sent last week or by voting at the meeting. There will also
be our usual Best of Show voting, Tasting Panels, and a raffle ($1 or 1
bottle of beer per ticket). Here is a MAP

For those that have not heard, we are participating with New Belgium Brewery
in a charity concert being held at the brewery on Sunday December 13th.
Kyle Hollingsworth, the keyboard player for String Cheese Incident, will be
playing with his band. There will be food and a silent auction for some
cool items. All proceeds will benefit the Larimer County Food Bank, which
is also our chosen charity. Kyles manager reached out to us and asked us
to participate. We have brewed a 20 gallon batch of Chocolate Mint Porter
for this event, by request from Kyle. Tickets will be limited and I know
there are some left. See the attached document for more info including the
website for tickets. Lets get a good Poets crowd there in support of good
music, good beer and the Food Bank! If you know of anyone else that might
be interested, please share this information.
The club has some great swag available from Café Press at
www.cafepress.com/liquidpoets. Any funds from purchases go directly into
the club account to help fund competitions, brewery tours, etc.
Here is the tentative schedule:
7:00 7:15 Opening remarks and announcements.
7:15 7:45 General tasting and final voting
7:45 8:45 Group tasting panels, 2010 Board of Directors announced
8:45 9:00 Best of Show results and Raffle
9:00 9:30 Mingling and Cleanup
See you all on Thursday!
Cheers,
Alex
