Some of you expressed sadness that these guys were closing. Maybe it won't.
Even just making a point to patronize this next week means something.

---------- Forwarded message ----------

I apologize in advance for sending this to everyone I can think of. I am
desperate to see Catalyst continue their business.

Many of you may already know about Catalyst's decision to close their
doors. I am cautiously optimistic that this won't have to happen. Please
start at the bottom of this message to learn more about this sad situation.
I feel fortunate to have worked there since July 2008. I have seen and
experienced the generosity that Fade and Ben (Catalyst's owners) have for
our community--both as an employee and through my involvement with The
Family Journey. Donate if you can. (If you don't have a facebook account,
go to www.catalystcoffee.com.) Stop by and buy a drink if you can. Either
way, send this to anyone you know who might be able to help out. Please
don't let this small community-based business close!

 Subject: Please help us out!

So there is still hope!

We might make enough money to stay open! But we need your help! I have
figured out (sort of) how to use PayPal through Facebook. If you are
interested in donating (even $5 would help, $50 would help even more, $500
would be awesome), send me an e-mail with the amount and I can send you a
link that takes you to pay. It works pretty well.

Also, sometime tomorrow, there will be a "Donate" button from PayPal on our
homepage www.catalystcoffee.com . You can also click on that button and
donate whatever amount you choose.

Other options for donating are at our fundraiser on Saturday and just
bringing by some money any day before the 20th. Checks can be made out to
Catalyst Coffee.

Again, your help would be greatly appreciated, and either way, your support
is very welcomed. Thank you guys so much for all that you have given
Catalyst and for making these last 5 years so wonderful.

Subject: Fundraiser

We need about $20,000 to keep the doors open. That should be enough to buy
us some time. Things are picking up and in March, all of our long term debt
will go away. $20,000 is what we need to pay off everything we owe to date.
Our big focus right now is making sure we can pay off all our local vendors
who need the money so they don't go out of business. But the money we owe
the government means that could come in at any time and shut us down. That
is why we are shutting down on the 20th. We want to do it on our own terms
and maintain control of the assets we still have. That way, we get to
decide, where our money goes and we can support other local businesses as
long as we can.

The fundraiser will be all day Saturday, Jan. 17th. Any monetary donation
would be greatly appreciated. There will also be live music and a silent
auction. Again, this money, if we don't make enough to stay open, goes to
all our local vendors who need the money to stay afloat in these economic
times.

Thank you for your help and your concern!
