[Liquidpoets] March 2009 Meeting

Hi All,

 

The next Liquid Poets meeting is this week Thursday, March 5th at Big Horn
Brewery at CB & Potts in the Clubhouse at 7pm.  Bring some home brew (beer,
mead, wine, cider, etc) or some craft brew to share.  There will be Best of
Show, Tasting Panels, and a raffle ($1 or 1 bottle of beer per ticket).

We will also have our next installment of the Iron Brewer Challenge.  This
is open to all beers with an original gravity over 1.080.  It is $5 per
entry, winner take all.  This IBC will also coincide with the AHA Club Only
Competition for March, which is also Big Beers.  The COC has a bit more
limited style list, but we will select the best beer from the IBC that meets
the COC requirements (hopefully the IBC winner) as the Liquid Poets entry.

the club account to help fund competitions, brewery tours, etc.

7:00 – 7:15 Opening remarks and announcements.

7:15 – 7:45 General tasting and IBC judging

7:45 – 8:45 Group tasting panels

8:45 – 9:15 Best of Show results and Raffle

9:15 – 9:45 Mingling and Cleanup
