Hey Gents, Would love to have your group drop in on Saturday or just check
out the beer sometime (it rolls out on Tuesday).

Guten Tag,

Big Horn Brewing will be releasing one of our favorite seasonal brews next
week. The Märzen or Oktoberfestbier as it’s also known will be released on
the 15th of September, 2009. The Oktoberfest festival originated as a
wedding party for the Ludwig, the crown prince of Bavaria and his bride
Therese of Saxony-Hildbrughausen, in 1810. The fest has since become
a classic fall event in Bavaria and elsewhere around the world. The Biers
brewed and consumed in Munich today are closer to a Helles-style (golden
lager) then what we consider a Märzen here in north America. They are
referred to as "Fest Märzen", "Oktoberfestbier" or just "Fest Bier" (being a
bit stronger and richer than a normal Munich-style Helles), We here at
Potts are fans of traditional Marzen style. Märzens are medium-full bodied
amber lagers with rich toasted malt character, hints of bread, a suggestion
of caramel and a touch of floral noble hop essence. They finish smooth and
balanced with an alcohol content in the mid to high 5s. Our version
was lovingly crafted by two Americans of Irish-Italian decent and features
Malt from Cologne & Bamberg, Bavarian Hallertau Hops and a special yeast
strain from a heralded Bavarian monastery south west of Munich.

We will have a special tasting event for Mug Club members and their friends
on Saturday the 19th. From 5:00 to 6:00 pm in the CB Potts', Ram Room
(Upstairs, Fort Collins). The event is complementary for mug club members
and $5.00 for FOMCM (friends of mug club members). We have an UFC fight that
same night, thus the limited time slot. Please feel free to just drop buy
for just a taste or to stay the whole hour, if you've never come to a
sampling then I encourage you to give it a try, the more the merrier. If
you want something to nibble on we will be featuring our wonderful beer
infused menu items off of our Skinny menu (though, you are more than welcome
to order any off of the regular menu as well). We will have
complementaryAmber ale cheese dip, flat bread and chips to boot.

Also being featured, our Bavarian Style Hefeweizen, Munich-style Helles and
a special wet hopped golden ale.

Hope to see you there.

Prost!
