[Liquidpoets] August Meeting - Catalyst

[Liquid Poets President]

The meeting for this month will be this Thursday, August 5 at the Catalyst
Tap Room. For those of you that haven't been, this is near the corner of
Horsetooth and Shields (3501 South Shields). Bring some homebrew to share
and we'll see you there.

Summer BBQ
Our summer BBQ will be this upcoming Sunday, August 8, at my house (map:
http://bit.ly/91bTsz). Stop by any time after 2, the club will provide beer
and grillables, please bring a side (and some chairs wouldn't hurt) to
share.

Camping Trip
The following weekend is also the club camping trip at Jack's Gulch
Campground<http://campincolorado.com/federal/arapaho_roosevelt_nf/jacks_gulch/jacks_gulch.html>group
campsite - August 13 to 15. This will cost $5/head/night to cover the
reservation charge, and there are lots of mountain-type activities that are
available in the area. Saturday night we'll have a group BBQ, probably with
the leftover food from the week before. We'll have a more final signup list
at the meeting, or let Ted or me know if you would like to go.

Competitions

Colorado State Fair: Entries are accepted at the drop off locations from
August 9-14. Judging will happen August 27 in Pueblo, and the winners
announced at Foam Fest the day after. Information here:

Muse Cup - This is our annual mead-only competition, so if you don't have
anything to enter get brewing - for next year's version :) Entries will be
accepted September 6-17th, and judging will be held the 26th.
