[Liquidpoets] Liquid Poets December meeting and Winter Party

Hi all!  The next Liquid Poets meeting will be next Thursday, December 1st
at The Mayor Of Old Town located at 632 South Mason Street Fort Collins,
CO.  It's in the building that The Mountain Shop used to be in.  The
meeting will start at 7pm but feel free to stop by earlier and enjoy their
beer selection.  Also, save some room for homebrew.  We'll have the normal
meeting format with pasting panels and the general tasting as well as the
Iron Brewer #15 challenge.  This time around the Iron Brewer judges will be
tasting beers that have been aged on wood other than oak.  We had a few
cans of various non-oak wood chips at the last meeting so if you're
interested in participating but don't have any non-oak wood aged beers
lying around it's definitely not too late to add some wood flavor.  Entry
cost is $5 per beer, winner takes all.

Another big announcement: the annual winter members-only party is coming
up!  This year it will be held at the barn at Rigden Farms 2902 Rigden
Parkway, Fort Collins, CO.  The club will supply a main dish and we're
asking you, the members, to bring a little something to share.  The club
will also be hosting a silent auction with all proceeds going to the
Larimer County Food Bank and members are strongly encouraged to donate
items to be auctioned off.  If you're interested on donating something and
raising money for charity please shoot an email to
president at liquidpoets.comand we'll know to have a label printed and
waiting.  We will also have some
wonderful club members who have volunteered to supply the beer.
