All,

I think it is time that an event was had for Learn to Homebrew Day (*November
5th*). Many of you are already versed in brewing beer, now's the time to
learn how to make a batch or two of mead.

I should be able to have plenty of honey on hand (pay for what you use) and
some yeasts and nutrients. You'll just want a carboy (or fermenting vessel).
I'm going to focus on traditional meads (just honey, water, yeast, and
nutrient).

I plan on going over some of the history, different techniques, fermentation
management, and we'll have to do some tastings.

Location will be dependent on how many people are interested in
participating. I'll send out more details as we get closer.

Related... It is time for another *honey buy*.

I'm getting California Orange Blossom honey @ $2.05/lb and California
Buckwheat honey @ $2/lb. I'm looking at getting it in the middle of October
and packaging in 42lb buckets. If you're interested, send me an email.

Thanks,
Kyle
