[Liquidpoets] 2012 Liquid Poetry Slam Planning

Hi All,

 

Our 5th Annual Liquid Poetry Slam competition is coming up soon!  It is
scheduled for Sunday, June 3rd  and will be held at Odell Brewing Company.
As we are getting prepared for the competition, we need a little help.  The
general tasks that we need to accomplish are:

 

1.       Current inventory of competition supplies

2.       Contact drop off locations and verify that they are willing to
assist us again this year.

3.       Communicate with other front range clubs - competition date and
info, judges and stewards needed, etc.

4.       Determine who will be catering the lunch

5.       Prize donations from local breweries

6.       Pickup entries from drop off locations

7.       Sort entries

 

I'll also have a quick announcement about the competition at the meeting
tonight, and hopefully we'll have a little bit of time where those
interested in helping out can get together and we can go over more details,
answer questions, etc.

 

If you are interested in helping out, please let me know, I would like to
get our planning committee setup within the next week so we can really make
some progress on some of these items.  I think 5 or 6 volunteers to help out
would be plenty as a starting point so that people can take charge of a
specific task and gather additional help as needed.
