[Liquidpoets] Iron Brewer Challenge

Hey Poets –


I just want to say congratulations to Jesse McConnell for winning the Iron
Brewer Challenge at last night’s meeting!  The challenge was to brew a beer
fortified with spirits and he won with his Kahlua Sweet Stout.  Good job
Jesse!  That is two times in a row he has won the competition.  For the
next Iron Brewer Challenge, Jesse has proposed a beer that uses bacon
(sorry vegetarians and vegans!).  The goal is to brew any style, but you
have to use bacon, and the bacon flavor would be balanced well with the
selected style.   We will be judging for this at the meeting in May, so
that should give everyone who is interested plenty of time to brew for it.
