Subject: [Liquidpoets] July LP Meeting @ Anheuser-Busch - Thurs 7/11 @ 6PM

Hey Poets,

Our next LP meeting will be at Anheuser-Busch on Thursday, July 11th. As Alison mentioned in her email a couple of
weeks ago, this meeting is going to be very different than most meetings. Here are
the details per Alison’s email:

About 50 of us will be able to do a
2-hour tour of the brewing process, if you are able to get there by 6pm.
Those who are not able to come early or who just want to meet as usual
can come at 7pm, and they will have a meeting space for us to taste each
other's beers until 9pm.

RSVPs are required for the tour, due
to their rules, so please reply to me (events at liquidpoets.com) with the names
of the people who will be attending. I'll need to get them the list of
names the week before the meeting, so please RSVP by July 4th.

There are some special requirements
about attire, as spelled out below:

"VERY important...no shorts or
skirts, no jewelry of any kind, and people MUST wear closed-toe, non-heel
shoes. We will not allow anyone on the tour in improper attire. We'll provide
everyone with a hat, safety glasses and earplugs. We will be in many areas of
our process that we do not allow the public tour to go, so everybody needs to
be very clear on our requirements for their own safety. They will also want a
light jacket/fleece for their comfort in our fermenting, aging and finishing
cellars."

Also, due to TTB laws, no beer
brought into the brewery can leave the premises. We will be able to take
home our empty bottles, so don't worry about that. But any beer remaining
in the bottles must be dumped out before we leave.

1) Due to time constraints we will not
be doing a formal tasting panel this month. If
you want to hang out in the tasting area and create your own tasting panel that
is okay, but I strongly encourage you to do the tour if you can. This is a great opportunity to see how the
big brewers do it!

2) The style of the month for July was
going to be Bohemian Pilsner (2B), but due to the unusual format of this meeting we are not going to examine this style at this meeting, and instead will push it
back to our meeting in August.

3) Congrats to all the winners of the Liquid Poetry
Slam and Muse Cup! The competition was a
big success. Major thanks to the all sponsors and everyone who volunteered!

Cheers!

Matt
