I'm in. I'll do citra unless someone else really wants to do it. I have some and it's fairy difficult to get right now. I also have some of the other hops I'd be willing to donate to the project. I'll need to check what I have, but will send out a list when I get a chance.

Speaking of citra, the beer I brewed with Odells is on tap right now at the brewery and has a good amount of citra and cascade in it. Go try it out while it's on! (if you like hops)

Hi Gang;

We need a dozen brewers from this great club to brew

5 gallons of beer for this project;

We will all learn something and have an opportunity to

educate our fellow brewers.

Here's how it will work:

We'll all brew the same recipe of pale ale on bottom page 29 of Zymurgy May/June 2013, using different hops; just 5 gallons.

If you don't have Zymurgy, don't worry I'll send out the recipe.

Important: I'd like to change the recipe just a tad to make it a little more affordable for us all. Just by substituting plain Pale malt instead of the Maris Otter; which will cost more.

Unless there are some serious objections.

You can choose the varitey of hops to use; but there are several we need to make sure are covered;

Cascade

Centennial

Amarillo

Columbus

Simcoe

Calypso

Magnum

Pacific Gem

Citra

Any New Zealand hop

Any hop in which you have an interest, except no noble hops

I'll think of more....

Then we'll pick a date some weekend this fall and everyone will get a chance to evaluate them all

and we'll record our comments, rank them; and I'll write it up for publication.
