[Liquidpoets] Calling All Judges - 7th Annual Liquid Poetry Slam, 2014

All, 

For those I haven't met my name is Cy Bevenger.  I live here in Fort Collins, and have the pleasure of once again serving as Judge Coordinator for the 2014 Liquid Poetry Slam Homebrew Competition.  This is the 7th edition of the competition which continues to grow each year and has consistently proven to be a great event.  The competition is scheduled for the weekend of April 26th in Fort Collins at C.B. & Potts (Big Horn Brewing).  The address is 1415 West Elizabeth, Fort Collins, CO 80521.


We are expecting to approach or meet the cap of 600 beer entries, and like last year we have combined the Poetry Slam with the Muse Cup mead and cider competition formerly held later in the summer.  This basically means that we need a lot of help to pull this off.  There is a very good chance that some judging will have to take place Thursday and/or Friday evening the week of the competition.  If you are available Thursday or Friday evening, please send me an email with when you can judge those nights.

Note that there is a 10 entry per household limit this year for beer (no limit for mead and cider).  If you are willing to help out, please go to the website below and sign up as a judge.  The flier for the comp is also linked below.  Both judges and stewards are absolutely needed to pull off a quality competition.  If you know anyone that might not be comfortable judging, but is looking to help out we are in need of stewards as well.  You can sign up at the same website to be a steward.  

We are very excited to have over a dozen Pro-Ams confirmed from the Fort Collins area, including one meadery.  The Best of Show judging and Pro-Am selection will take place Sunday afternoon with an awards ceremony to follow.  Entry registration closes April 18th, so get your own beer, mead, and cider entered soon before the cap is reached.  Judging registration will stay open until closer to the competition, but please sign up as soon as you can to help me in organizing the flights and assignments.
