[Liquidpoets] Big Brew is May 2nd!

Hi all, and welcome to the LP e-mail list if you just got added.  The list
has been purged of all non-members, so tell your buddies who got removed
that they need to come to the next meeting at Snowbank Brewing on April 2nd
and sign up!

We are still looking for a volunteer to host Big Brew this year, the annual
event where homebrewers across the nation get together and all brew beer on
the same day.  We all report our number of gallons brewed to the AHA, so
they can tell us if our state broke a record this year.

I will send out more details about Big Brew in the weeks to come, but right
now I am hoping to get a volunteer to host.  People will bring their
homebrew equipment to your house and we'll have a big potluck BBQ while we
brew massive amounts of beer.  The ideal volunteer would have a big back
yard that is easily accessed from the street, and convenient places to hook
up water for brewing and chilling.  The club arranges for a port-o-let so
people aren't tromping through your house to use the bathroom.  Please let
me know if you are interested.

I am also looking for 6 volunteers to brew beer for the event, so we can
have plenty to drink as well.  We've got 6 weeks to get some lovely
lower-alcohol summer beers prepared, so don't delay!  The club will
reimburse you for your ingredients if you beer a 5-gallon batch for the
event.  Please write back to me if you want to brew a batch, and let me
know what you want to make.
