Hi Poets,

As I talked about at last Thursday's meeting, below are the 2015 board
positions.

Remember this club is run by members for members. It's really important to
put time in to make this club as awesome as it is. No position requires a
lot of work, but does require dedication and the previous board is always
available for consultations.

You can nominate others, but it's best to nominate yourself.  If nominating
others, please communicate with that person to ensure they accept the
nomination.

your nomination. Nominations will be accepted until October 15, 2015 5:00PM
MST.*

If you self-nominated/nominated another person at the October meeting,
those names are already recorded.  No need to send an email.


Here are the 2016 board positions:

1. President - Run the meetings, choose the styles of the month, call the
quarterly board meetings, delegate and follow up with other board members
on individual tasks.

2. Vice-President - Back up the president in all matters (this is a great
position to get started on the board).

3. Treasurer - Track the board funds, manage the club roster, add new
members to email list, manage name tags, reimburse other board members for
club expenses.

4. Event Coordinator - Plan and schedule club meetings and other events.
Maintain club contacts with local breweries.

5. Competition Coordinator - Head and run the committee that puts on the
Poetry Slam. Including lining up volunteers for key positions like the
Judge and Steward Coordinators and the Awards Ceremony MC, etc.

7-9. Board at Large Positions - Advisory positions. These positions are for
new and long-time club member or members that have previously held one of
the above named board positions. They advice the board from experience and
help guide the 2015 board in our customs and traditions.
