[Liquidpoets] Club Barrel Hosting

All,

The club survey showed that many people are interested in participation in
club barrel projects, especially sour barrels. Right now the only club sour
project we have is hosted by Dan Seavey (formerly NBB), so it is time to
expand on that.

*We need some club members to host a barrel. *Please let me know if you are
willing and able to host a barrel.
Requirements: Relatively stable temperatures. Floors with good drainage are
a good idea as barrels might overflow shortly after initial filling. Know
that a batch in a barrel, especially a sour barrel, may take over a year to
reach maturity. Willing to wrangle 12 brewers on a recipe and fill/empty
dates.

We also need to purchase some barrels. To this end we are going to
establish a 'barrel fund' where participation in a barrel project will be
$5-10/batch. This will help fund new barrels, barrel maintenance, and
hosting expenses such as a barrel stand. The club will likely need to
initially seed this fund, but it should be self-sustaining as time goes on

*Please fill out this form

if you are interested in hosting or participating in a club barrel project.

Let me know if you have any questions on barrel projects or hosting.

Thanks,
Kyle
