To all Homebrew Clubs in Colorado,

We are getting closer to the Peterson AFB Homebrew Competition and I am
just sending a follow up reminder and attaching our flyer. Please print,
post distribute as you would like.

This is the 12th Annual PAFB Homebrew Competition that our club has
sponsored and we have received up to 530 entries in the past! Please check
out the competition at: http://pafbcomp.brewbrosco.com/

I have listed details below but wanted to point out some of the hidden
benefits of this competition.

We get to serve to the public since this is on government property. Yes!
Homebrewers pouring beer at a Brew Fest, right alongside the pros! As
unique as this is, this also makes it more difficult to gain access to the
base for us but if you have any active duty or retired military members
they can get you on base. We’ll also grant base access to anyone who
enters a beer in the competition and/or pours their homebrews at the Fest
on Feb. 17th. Additionally we will be putting together a list of people
who need base access that will be checked at the main gate. Keep checking
back to the registration page, we’ll post a link up there for easy access.

Clubs are encouraged to participate and setup at one of the many tables we
reserve for homebrewers wanting to serve their beers. Again, anyone who
enters a beer in the competition is also invited to pour at the Brew Fest
and gets in for free. The Brew Bros usually has about 8 tables with
dozens of beers to sample and it is really fun to get feedback from the
general public on our hard work and passion. There will be commercial
breweries and distilleries there also. There’s also some lodging
available right there on-base for anyone who needs a place to stay.
We’ll post the link to that contact on the website, so keep checking back.

Awards will go for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in various categories and swag
to the winners, plus Best of Show awards. We have 5 Pro-Ams lined up for
this Competition too. Also if any of your members are BJCP certified
judges and want to volunteer please point them to the site so that they can
register too. Steward volunteers are also needed and this is a great
opportunity to see how competitions are conducted, sample beers and help be
a part of a great homebrew contest. The list of drop-off points will be
growing so check back to the website periodically for updates.

On a separate note, anyone wanting to volunteer as a jugde or steward can
sign up on the website also!

If you have any question that the website, http://pafbcomp.brewbrosco.com/
does not answer, please email me and I will get back to you as fast as I
can. dcdwort at comcast.net

Thank you,

Don Douglas (aka KiltBrew)
