I've never put beer onto fresh (or frozen) fruit. I know that the answer to this question depends on the style and gravity of the beer and the desired outcome, but approximately how many pounds per gallon should we anticipate needing?


Is the preference pitted or non-pitted?

It's Time for Pie Cherries!

(Deadline to Order is Sunday, July 23rd)


Dear Pie Cherries Fan,



You are receiving this email because you are on our Fresh Pie Cherries List.
This year’s Harvest is predicted to arrive on Saturday, July 29th.  (This could change by 1 week earlier however, our grower is pretty confident with this date.)  The crop is once again in ‘great’ shape.

Our "Order Commitment" process is open at this time.  We need to have orders in by Sunday July 23rd.  Again, we will be carrying 8lb and 27lb buckets of both Montmorency (Traditional) and Ballaton Cherries (Pitted or non-pitted).  Additionally, for you Wine Makers and Brew Masters, you can also order a 600 lb to 1000 lb bin of Bulk Cherries as well.  Please reply for Bin Pricing.

Prices are as follows:

8lb Bucket = $26.60  (Up $.35 cents from last year)

27lb Bucket = $78.79  (Up $1.00 from last year)  (Save $.42/lb over buying 8lb buckets)

Again, when Cherries arrive, we have will about a 4 day window to have them all picked up before they are frozen.  We will turn our cooler down on Sunday Evening, 7/30 to start the freezing process.  If you pick up your cherries on Monday Afternoon or Tuesday, they may be slushy but not frozen.  This is to maintain the quality of the fruit.

If the arrival date changes, you will be notified via email so, please watch them closely.

If you will not be able to pick them up within this time frame, please DO NOT complete our order form.  Frozen Pie Cherries (8# Buckets and 2# Bags) will be available at our Stand daily through the end of the season.
