[Liquidpoets] Big Brew Saturday 5/6/17: The Deets

Fellow Poets,

Thanks for the great meeting tonight with special thanks to the crew at
Horse & Dragon for hosting us. Someone left a Castrol GX/NFL insulated
sleeve behind. Or it might be a baby sling. Either way, I have it.

As promised - below are some more details about Big Brew this Saturday.
We're still looking for volunteers to bring a few items:

   - Folding Tables (2 more would be great)
   - Hose splitter(s)
   - Tents (for shade, not sleeping)
   - Grill. For food. Who can bring another one?

If you can bring any of these on Saturday, please shoot me a quick email.
Thanks.

*BIG BREW 2017: The Fine Print*

*Who:*
You. Whether you are brewing or not, all current members are welcome and
encourage to join us. We can always use additional moral, emotional,
spiritual, and physical support. Spouses, kids, and service animals are
also welcome, of course. (Leave your service hamster at home this time, Cy.)

*Where & When*:
Host: Dan Seavey
2100 Eastwood Dr, Fort Collins, CO 80525
9am - 6pm

*What to Bring: *

   - Your brewing set-up.
   - Something to put under your burner (like plywood) so you don't wreck
   Dan's lawn
   - Proper glassware. Let's reduce our reliance on red solo cups. This is
   quality beverage time, yo!
   - Your 2017 Club dues if you haven't paid them (you know who you are)
   - A receptacle big enough to haul away your spent grain. A coffee can,
while modestly priced, will probably not suffice.

*Food and Drink:*
The club will be providing grilled options (burgers, veggie burgers, and
brats). Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Some of our club
members have also volunteered to bring corny kegs of homebrew to keep our
thirst at bay - thanks in advance. We could still use a few more options,
preferably on the lighter, sessionable side of the ABV spectrum. Let me
know if you can bring something.

*What to Make:*

   - Looking for a recipe to brew? Check out the official AHA recipes fort
this year and then bring the finished versions to our June meeting.
   https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/aha-events/national-homebrew-day/#recipe
   - If you don't have a lot of time, consider making a mead or cider.

*Parking:*
Let's try to keep parking congestion to a minimum around Dan's house.
Please drop your gear off at his house and then park down the street so
that the driveway remains clear for others to unload. Also, please do not
park in the lot of the apartment complex nearby.

*What NOT to Do:*
Do not leave a mess. Dan is awesome. Messes are not.
Drink responsibly and please do not drink and drive.

See you Saturday!
