[Liquidpoets] Happy Thanksgiving AND 2018 Board Nominations

Hi everyone,

Today in my home, it's homemade pies and rolls. Tomorrow, sides and the
main event. We always get a honey ham because no one at my house likes
turkey, but that's us.

I'm taking a little time this morning to reach out again about volunteering
for the club's board. This club is run by us, its members, and only by us.
I invite everyone, from newbies to club founders to put themselves forward
and join the board. No position is bigger than a part time commitment and
we welcome and need fresh ideas on our club and events.

Again the board offices:

   1. *President* - representation and delegation
   2. *Vice President* - backup for prez; track club equipment
   3. *Treasurer / Secretary* - write checks; track finances
   4. *Event Coordinator* - secure venues and plan for club meetings and
   events
   5. *Comp. Coordinator* - plan and oversee our annual competition
   6. *Board at Large* - advise board; be an extra pair of hands

I really appreciate the growing list of folks who have nominated
themselves. This is a good sign and makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

And a reminder, please check your liquidpoets.com account (wordpress). Some
of you have logins that don't correspond to your (actual) names AND don't
have your names filled in in your profile. If you've volunteered for a
position, please make sure we can tell who you are.

If you haven't volunteered yet, please consider it. Your club still needs
both positions filled and your ideas on what our agenda should be for 2018.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I'm looking forward to working with you next
year, keeping our club vibrant and active. (That is, given that I actually
get elected to an office.)
