Greetings, Poets.
Just a followup up for the holiday party. We've pushed to January 12 to
avoid all the crowded December conflicts. As I said at the December
meeting, we'll have it at Maxline. The club will provide a protein main
dish, but we count on everyone bringing a potluck dish to share.
The other key ingredient is beer. We need several volunteers to contribute
5 gallon kegs of homebrew for the party. We have one official volunteer
(thanks, Mike B) and a couple of maybes. Please step up. If you tell Hops
and Berries that it's for the party, they'll discount the ingredients and
the club will pick up the remainder of the ingredient cost. *Let me know if
you can help out*. If you aren't a kegger, we can find somebody to loan you
a keg and help you get it packaged for the party.
We also need donations for the silent auction. All proceeds will go to the
Larimer County Food Bank. We often get donations from the local breweries
and supporting businesses, but the member contributions are especially
welcome.
Finally, I want to remind you to renew your membership between now and
January. It's $25 for a single and $35 for a family membership. You can
send money via PayPal (just go to https://www.paypal.com and make a payment
to treasurer at liquidpoets.com) with a message giving your name and email
address. If you prefer to pay in person, please bring your payment to the
January meeting. You'll also need to sign the annual liability waiver at
the meeting.
Cheers,
Jester
