We had a great meeting last week with a lot of new members. Thanks again to
our hosts, the Hop Grenade for such a great space.

Two items of import.
Board update:
As I mentioned in my last email (and at the meeting), we had two applicants
to replace Steve Koenig as vice-president: Nick Epperly and current
board-member-at-large Doug Ingersoll. The two talked it out and Doug will
be our new vice-president and Nick will be a board-member-at-large. Thanks
to them both for stepping up to help the club out.

Annual summer picnic:
We've scheduled the summer picnic for the afternoon of Saturday, July 14,
but we need to gauge interest to figure out how much food to get. The club
will supply grill food (meat/vegetarian), soft drinks, and beer; you're
encouraged to bring a side dish, snack, or dessert to share. Please respond
directly to me with an attendance count. Spouses and kids are welcome. Once
we have a count, I'll send the location details out to the interested
parties (note the subtle hint that you should stand up and be counted;-)
