Hail brewers!

Our next meeting is this coming Thursday (5 April) at Rally King Brewing ( 1624
S Lemay Ave #4) from 7-9pm. As always, it's good to show some support to
our hosts and drop by a little early to try some of their beer.

Over the last couple of months, we've gotten feedback and suggestions on
how we might make the club better. To that end, we're going to do something
a little different this month. Our meetings are great for socializing and I
think that hanging out with other brewers is an important part of
community. For this meeting, though, we're going to add some structure.
We'll start out with our usual free form time, but after announcements,
we'll have three different groups set up.

The first group will focus on the style of the month, which is saison.
We'll have some commercial examples and if you have one, please bring it to
share.

If you don't have a saison, but still have something to share, the second
group might be where you'd like to go: we're resurrecting the tasting
panel. Whether you have a problem beer or something you're proud of, it's a
good opportunity to share your beer and give it the attention it deserves.

The third group will be more focused on discussion: if you have a brewing
question or topic of interest, join in. We'll have a mix of experienced
brewers on hand to help out. Don't worry that this will be the dry table
because I'll be bringing a single hop experiment I brewed to get a good
sense of Ekuanaut hops. I'm sure others will contribute as well.

We'll run these three groups for about an hour or so and we ask everyone to
join one or bounce between them rather than continue the freeform social
time. We'll still have plenty of time at the end for you to catch up with
anyone you missed.

I hope all of you will come and give this a try. We also want feedback on
whether this change is a good idea or not. Please let me or anyone else on
the board know.

One other quick topic: we're still looking for a volunteer host for Big
Brew. This is one of the key events of the year, so it would be shame if we
can't find anyone to host. Please drop a line if you're interested.

Cheers,
Jester
