[Liquidpoets] Upcoming elections for Liquid Poets
Liquid Poets President
president at liquidpoets.com
Sun Oct 14 20:17:58 MDT 2018
Hello fellow Poets,
As the year winds down we start the plans for next year. Elections are
coming up and now is your chance to get involved in a leadership role. We
will be accepting self-nominations between now and the November 1st meeting
at New Belgium. There we will hear from the nominees before the ballots are
emailed out. We will collect the votes and the results will be announced in
December. There are 8 positions and you can nominate yourself for more than
one.
Elected Official Positions:
- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer/Secretary
- Special Events Coordinator
- (4) At-Large Member seats (maybe take on WebMaster, Public Liaison, or
Poetry Slam Coordinator role)
Please submit nominations via president at liquidpoets.com and
vice-president at liquidpoets.com. Descriptions of the positions are outlined
below. Note that Jason Connor has been our trusty Webmaster, but he will be
stepping down so we will be looking for a tech-savvy member to keep our
web-presence strong or at least functional. The positions last from Jan
2019-March 2020 (three month transition period) and require active
participation in monthly meetings, quarterly board meetings, and enthusiasm
to see your club be the best it can be.
I want to encourage all of you to consider nominating yourself for one of
these leadership positions. You may even be relatively new to the club, but
your ideas about what you want from the Liquid Poets are enough to qualify
you. This fellowship of homebrewers depends on all of us.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions regarding the expectations
of any positions. I look forward to a fine slate of potential officers for
the next year.
Cheers,
Jester
